Comme l'ete n'arrive toujours pas, on fait le nettoyage de printemps chez nous! J'ai commence avec la partie beaute hier, et aujourd'hui, c'etait au tour de mon bureau. Voici quelques images de mon coin beaute, mais la lumiere n'est pas assez bonne pour le cote bureau, il faudra attendre un petit peu.

Since Summer is still not arriving, we're doing some Spring cleaning at home! I started with the beauty corner yesterday, and today, I tackled my desk. Here are some snapshots of the beauty section, as lighting was too poor for pictures of my tidied desk; we'll have to wait a little.

NathaN s'amuse beaucoup au parc, c'est juste dommage qu'il pleuve autant et qu'on ne puisse pas y aller plus souvent!

NathaN has a lot of fun at the park usually; it's a shame it rains so much, so we can't go there more often!

Nous sommes allés soutenir l'Homme qui courait pour une course officielle aujourd'hui (la derniere remonte a 5 ans je pense) . Nathan était triste de voir partir son papa: il voulait courir avec lui! Alors il était très content quand son papa est arrivé après un peu plus d'une heure de course. Ben était très heureux de son temps et il a hâte de recommencer le week-end prochain.

We went to support the Man, who was completing a race (his first official one in 5 years, I think). NathaN was sad to see his dad run off: he wanted to run with him! So he was delighted when his dad arrived an hour later! Ben was very happy with his time, and he is already planning another race for next weekend.

Pour notre première journée de vacances nous sommes allés dans un joli parc pres de la maison.

For our first day of holiday we went to a lovely park, near home.

Une occasion unique: La flame des JO de Londres est passee par chez nous! et quand je dis par chez nous, je veux dire: juste au bout de notre rue. Alors, ce matin, meme si c'etait de bon heure pour un dimanche, a 8h20, nous sommes alles prendre position le long de sa trajectoire. Nous n'avons pas eu a attendre longtemps (ils courent vite ces porteurs de torches!) et nous avons vu ca....

A unique opportunity: the Olympic flame came our way this morning! and when I say that it came our way, I mean: it was literally at the end of our street. So, bright and early, at 8.20 am, we posted ourselves along the way. We didn't have to wait long (they run fast those who carry the torch!) and we saw this...

La Fete des Peres a commence avec un peu d'avance chez nous! Comme l'Homme etait en voyage, NathaN et moi en avons profite pour lui faire un gateau au yaourt pour son retour! C'etait le premier gateau au yaourt pour le petit comme pour le grand. Une "tradition" francaise bien appreciee de tous!

Fathers' Day started a bit early for us! Since my Man was away on a trip, NathaN and I decided to make a traditional French cake: le gateau au yaourt. It was the first time either of my men tried this cake; and they both loved it!
