Ma vie là!

Hier soir, on est sortis en amoureux... Magalli est venue s'occuper de NathaN pendant que nous sommes alles a Rusholme manger un repas indien dans l'un des meilleurs restaurants de Manchester: Mughli. On a bu un lassi a la mangue, c'est une boisson vraiment rafraichissante qui se marie tres bien avec le curry. Et puis en entree, j'ai pris des grosses crevettes avec une sauce a l'ail - exquises! Comme plat principal, j'ai mange du poulet tikka dopiaza, qui etait bon, mais ce qui etait vraiment delicieux, c'etait tous les plats d'accompagnement: le riz, le naan, et le plat de lentilles. Enfin, apres bien des efforts, Ben a trouve un restau indien que j'aime!

Last night, we went out on a date... Magali came to look after NathaN whilst we went to Rusholme to eat an Indian meal in one of the best restaurant of Manchester: Mughly. We drank some mango lassi, a really refreshing drink that goes so well with curries. As a starter, I had some king prawn in a delicious garlic sauce. For main, I ate so chiken tikka dopiaza, which was good, but what I really loved was all the side dishes: the rice, the naan (St Peter's bread) and the daal. At last, after much effort, Ben has finally found an Indian restaurant I like!

Une nouvelle etape... notre petit garcon grandit... Il vient de passer sa premiere journee sans couches!

A new milestone... our little boy is growing up... He's just spent his first day without nappies!

Notre petit NathaN etait LE petit garcon d'honneur: il est entre dans l'eglise avec les alliances sur un joli coussin (que Tatate Annie nous avait offert pour nos fiancailles!)

La première belle journée depuis bien longtemps! Alors on en a profité pour aller à Chorlton et trainer dans le petit parc, aller dans les jolis magasins indépendants de Beech Road, on s'est baladé sous un beau soleil. On en a aussi profité pour faire un tour à Unicorn (un super magasin bio). Maintenant, de retour à la maison, on est dans le jardin (d'où je blogue) avec une tasse de thé. La belle vie, quoi!

The first fine day in a while (in a very long time)! So we made the most of it and went to Chorlton to stroll around the park, we went to some lovely shops on Beech Road, and the sun was shining. Then we headed to Unicorn (a great shop). Now, back at home, we're in the garden (from where I'm bloging) with a cup of tea. Life couldn't be better!

... et je me rends compte que je n'ai pas poste depuis deja trop lontemps!

En resume, depuis le 20 mars, il y a eu le voyage scolaire a Caen, les vacances a la maison avec la visite de MamieCo, une sortie a York, une soiree avec Fiona et Mike, un weekend sans mon homme, les oraux des secondes et des terminales, une journee a Londres (toute seule!), l'expo British Design au V&A, une sortie entre filles dans un restau marrocain, une sortie a Manchester pour decouvrir Spinfest 2012, une viree a Bakewell pendant notre jour ferie, et je dois encore en oublier. Alors pour ne pas vous ennuyer plus longtemps, voici quelques photos. Enjoy!

... and I've just realised that I have not posted for a very long time!

So to summarise, since the 20th March, there has been a school trip to Caen, Normandy, France, the Easter holidays at home with a lovely guest: MamieCo, a day trip to York, a night with Mike and Fiona, a weekend without my man, the oral exams for my Yr11 and U6, a day in London (on my own!), the V&A British Design exhibition, a night out in a Marrocan restaurant, a day out in Manchester to check Spinfest 2012, a day trip to Bakewell on May Bank Holiday, and I must forget some. So as not to bore you any longer, here are a few photos. Enjoy!

Et oui, pour les mamans anglaises, c'est la Fete des Meres aujourd'hui! Pour la deuxieme fois en 3 ans, mon fils, qui me connait si bien, m'offre un superbe sac pour la fete des meres! J'ai vraiment hate d'y mettre toutes mes petites affaires. Et puis il m'a aussi offert de tres jolis dessins et de belles cartes.

Happy Mothers' Day to all

Happy Mothers' Day to all the British mums! Today and for the 2nd time in 3 years, my son (who knows me so well!) bought me a splendid handbag for Mothers' Day! I just can't wait to put all my little things in it. NathaN also gave me some beautiful pictures and some very pretty cards.

And you, did you get anything nice?

Quand j'etais petite (et qu'j'etais pas grande, comme dirais Papa!), je n'aimais pas mange mes carottes. La seule facon de me faire avaler ces petites rondelles, c'etait de me dire que c'etait les carottes de mon oncle, et alors la, en 2 temps 3 mouvements, mon assiette etait vide. Je vous rassure, j'ai bien eu des doutes quand la boite annoncait une fabrication bien loin de l'exploitation de mon oncle!

When I was little (and not so tall), I did like eating my carrots. The only way to make me eat those little orange slices was to tell me that they came from my Uncle's farm, and with this in mind, it would take me no time to finish my plate. Let me reassure you, I did have my doubts, when I couldn't see his name on the tin!

Et bien devine quoi? Avec NathaN, c'est la meme chose... ou presque! Le matin, il n'aime pas enleve son haut de pyjama. Alors maintenant, je lui demande s'il veut un T-shirt a Max ou Charly! Comme ses gentils cousins lui ont donne les vetements qu'ils ne mettent plus, on en a plein l'armoire. Et chaque matin, NathaN est ravi de mettre un "T-shirt a ses cousins". Quand devrais-je lui dire que tous ses T-shirts n'appartenaient pas a ses cousins?

Anyway, with NathaN, it's the same... or nearly! In the morning, he doesn't like removing his PJ (especially the top). So now, I ask him if he wants Max's or Charly's top! Since his kind cousins gave him all the clothes they didn't wear anymore, we have plenty of those tops in the wardrobe! And every morning, NathaN is delighted to wear of of his cousins' tops. When do you suggest I tell him that no all his tops belonged to his cousins?

Tout a commence la semaine derniere:Vic, qui m'a gentillement offert un fard a paupiere de chez Benefit, alors j'ai complete en m'offrant le mascara... et puis ...

It all started last week: Vic kindly bought me some Benefit eyeshadow, so I completed the look with a mascara... and then....

...ce week-end, j'ai un bon gros rhume, avec maux de tete en permanence. Quelle joie! Alors je ne suis pas trop sortie, et j'ai eu le temps d'aller sur la blogosphere voir ce qui se passe ailleurs. Et j'ai decouvert Fleur.... Je n'arrete pas de regarder ses videos (beaute, style, tuto...la totale), de lire son blog et autres! Et puis je me dis que maintenant que mon petit NathaN grandit sagement, il serait temps que je retrouve quelques minutes quotidienne devant mon miroir pour metter un peu de maquillage (et pas juste faire 1-2-3, c'est fait!). Alors je viens de passer commande, et j'ai hate de receptionner mes 3 (premiers) produits.

...this weekend, I have a good old cold, with a permanent headache. What a joy! So I haven't been out much, and I had time to go on the blogosphere to see what's going on. And I discovered Fleur... I haven't stopped watching her videos (beauty, fashion, tutorial...the lot!), reading her blog and others! So I've decided that now NathaN is growing up, it would be time to find a few daily minutes of me-time in from of a mirror to put some make-up on (and not just a 1-2-3 done!). As a result, I've just placed an order, and I look forward to receiving my (first) 3 products.
