Une journee en Beauce a faire la moisson! Quand j'etais petite, j'allais souvent en vacances en Beauce, et plus d'une fois, on m'a dit qu'il fallait compter les grains de ble dans la remorque (lol)! Cette annee, NathaN et ses cousins s'en ont donne a coeur joie: entre le tracteur et la moissonneuse batteuse, ils ont tout essaye! Mais rien ne vaut un bon verre entre amis apres une dure journee de travail!

A day in Beauce, France, doing the harvest! When I was little, I often went to la Beauce, and more than once, I was told that I had to count the number of grains in the lorry! This year, NathaN and his cousins loved it: betweent the tractor and the harvester machine, they tried everythign! But nothing was as nice as a good drink with some friends, after a long hard day at work!

Joyeux Anniversaire Mamie 'Guette (comme dirait NathaN)

Le 1er juillet dernier, Mamie a reuni presque toute la famille pour une grande fete pour celebrer ses 90 ans! Depuis le 31 aout, elle a ce tres bel age, et je dois dire que j'aimerais etre aussi dynamique qu'elle au meme age! Pour cette grande occasion, NathaN et moi avons pris l'avion (il a A-DO-RE!). Depuis, il n'arrete pas de reclamer de reprendre l'avion, mais aussi de revoir sa Mamie 'Guette (son arriere-grand-mere), a qui il aime faire de gros bisous!

On the 1st July, Grandma mangaged to gather nearly all the family to celebrate her 90th birthday! Since the 31st August, she has reached this beautiful age, and I must say that I would like to be as dynamic as her at the same age! For the occasion, NathaN and I flew accross (he LOVED the flight). Since then, he hasn't stopped asking to go on a plane again, or to go and see his Mamie 'Guette (who is his great-grandmother)!

Nous sommes allés soutenir l'Homme qui courait pour une course officielle aujourd'hui (la derniere remonte a 5 ans je pense) . Nathan était triste de voir partir son papa: il voulait courir avec lui! Alors il était très content quand son papa est arrivé après un peu plus d'une heure de course. Ben était très heureux de son temps et il a hâte de recommencer le week-end prochain.

We went to support the Man, who was completing a race (his first official one in 5 years, I think). NathaN was sad to see his dad run off: he wanted to run with him! So he was delighted when his dad arrived an hour later! Ben was very happy with his time, and he is already planning another race for next weekend.

Pour notre première journée de vacances nous sommes allés dans un joli parc pres de la maison.

For our first day of holiday we went to a lovely park, near home.

Hier soir, on est sortis en amoureux... Magalli est venue s'occuper de NathaN pendant que nous sommes alles a Rusholme manger un repas indien dans l'un des meilleurs restaurants de Manchester: Mughli. On a bu un lassi a la mangue, c'est une boisson vraiment rafraichissante qui se marie tres bien avec le curry. Et puis en entree, j'ai pris des grosses crevettes avec une sauce a l'ail - exquises! Comme plat principal, j'ai mange du poulet tikka dopiaza, qui etait bon, mais ce qui etait vraiment delicieux, c'etait tous les plats d'accompagnement: le riz, le naan, et le plat de lentilles. Enfin, apres bien des efforts, Ben a trouve un restau indien que j'aime!

Last night, we went out on a date... Magali came to look after NathaN whilst we went to Rusholme to eat an Indian meal in one of the best restaurant of Manchester: Mughly. We drank some mango lassi, a really refreshing drink that goes so well with curries. As a starter, I had some king prawn in a delicious garlic sauce. For main, I ate so chiken tikka dopiaza, which was good, but what I really loved was all the side dishes: the rice, the naan (St Peter's bread) and the daal. At last, after much effort, Ben has finally found an Indian restaurant I like!

La première belle journée depuis bien longtemps! Alors on en a profité pour aller à Chorlton et trainer dans le petit parc, aller dans les jolis magasins indépendants de Beech Road, on s'est baladé sous un beau soleil. On en a aussi profité pour faire un tour à Unicorn (un super magasin bio). Maintenant, de retour à la maison, on est dans le jardin (d'où je blogue) avec une tasse de thé. La belle vie, quoi!

The first fine day in a while (in a very long time)! So we made the most of it and went to Chorlton to stroll around the park, we went to some lovely shops on Beech Road, and the sun was shining. Then we headed to Unicorn (a great shop). Now, back at home, we're in the garden (from where I'm bloging) with a cup of tea. Life couldn't be better!

Nathan a adore faire la pate a crepes la semaine derniere. Alors quand il a trouve des moules a cupcakes, il a insiste pour que l'on retourne en cuisine. Voici un petit apercu du grand chef en action...
